Warren Barton - Wimbledon, Newcastle, now TV pundit.

Warren Barton (born 19/3/1969 in Islington) is a former English footballer. Barton started his career at Maidstone United where he remained for a year before being signed to Wimbledon. During his time at the Dons Barton was instrumental in keeping them in the Premiership, and quickly became one of the most highly-rated defenders in England. It was as a midfielder however that Barton had the most successful spell of his career at the club, where his accurate passing provided many goals for the Crazy Gang's forwards. After five years at Wimbledon he was signed to Newcastle United for £4million. He remained at The Magpies for six years and during this time he played in the 1998 FA Cup final. In 2001 Barton transferred to Derby County and later returned to Wimbledon before announcing his retirement in 2004. More recently, Barton has been a TV pundit.
